Mature trees & natural stone throughout lush landscaping provide many photogenic, enjoyable settings, from intimate to large areas, enhancing a gorgeous & romantic retreat atmosphere. Stellar photo opportunities abound in both spacious and intimate areas around the grounds.  Electrical service well placed for lighting, music and sound is available.

Owner offers two one hour, in-person meetings on site for clients and coordinators.  If other family members would like to visit in advance, we are flexible, friendly and we can often invite you stop in, depending on schedules, with advance notice. We love sharing this most special place, our long time Gorge retreat, and appreciate your business with your happiness and satisfaction our top priority!

Day of Wedding / Reception / Event

  • Check-in 9AM for deliveries and set up
  • Bridal party may have access to Griffin’s Garden Suite and bath for changing, relaxing, photos 2 hours prior to event and 1 hour at end of reception/event 15 person max
  • 5 hours for event with latest close down for event 10PM
  • Bar service to cease by 9:00PM Last Call
  • Clean-up/check-out complete by 11:00 p.m.
  • All guests will be directed to outdoor ceremony and reception sites ~ outdoor porta potty use only

We are flexible when possible and can allow you to some preliminary set up anytime after 2PM the day before your event, with advance agreement as long as it does not interfere with any other event or rental.

Venue Information:

  • The Griffin House is a non-smoking environment, smoking-only area provided upon request
  • No dogs on premises ** service dogs and wedding    attendant dogs (ceremony only!) excepted
  • OLC licensed bartender required for alcoholic beverages
  • Licensed caterer and food servers required
  • Day-of Event Insurance required as well as personal or homeowner’s insurance policy coverage
  • Ala~carte venue ~ your choice of caterers, wineries, furniture, dining & glassware to be rented. See our list & links on our website. Client may choose any licensed and insured vendors you prefer, with our approval.

The Griffin’s Great Room

Indoor main floor may be available for additional fees ~ offers 840 square feet with exceptional Gorge views and stone fireplace ~ for gorgeous photos, bride dressing/make-up photos, fabulous kitchen for wedding party and immediate family intimate time with snacks/coffee, antique piano, lovely furnishings, spectacular views ~ 20 person limit day-of event use.

Options For Indoor Events in The Griffin’s Great Room: ceremonies, receptions, meetings, bachelorette parties, showers, dinner parties, birthdays, corporate meetings, seminars, music, etc. for smaller groups up to 48 people maximum available! Call us for details.

Day-of Event Coordinator

We require use a day-of wedding/event coordinator. While we do not require a professional wedding/day-of coordinator, we highly recommend one to make your day the best possible and avoid problems.

If you do not use a professional coordinator, you must designate a person as your day-of contact and coordinator. This person is responsible to provide general oversight on the property for your event including:

  • make sure rental items, not provided by your caterer arrive on time, are packed up for pick up, and cause no damage;
  • coordinate arrival of musicians, photographer, flowers, etc;
  • be responsible for the schedule and timing of your event to keep things moving from ceremony to champagne toast to cocktail hour to dinner and dancing; ending the event on time;
  • designating sober drivers if necessary
  • ensuring that legal thoroughfare for fire/emergency vehicles are maintained
  • overseeing that parking proceeds as specified in agreement
  • OLCC licenses for alcohol and food servers are on site
  • children are never left unattended at any time
  • make sure any loading and unloading does not take place from the street where this is a strict no parking law
  • ensure nothing is unloaded on top of irrigation equipment or that delivery trucks do not damage lawns, shrubs, structures, etc.

They will be the contact person for TGH representatives if questions arise, if license copies are not sent in advance causing event delay, that legal thoroughfare for fire/emergency vehicles are maintained, etc.  Coordinator / contact person absolutely positively cannot be the bride, groom, mother-of-the-bride, wedding party member, close friend, family member or other important person participating in your event!  Can you see why we recommend a professional?


You may use the licensed caterer of your choice. We are happy to recommend local caterers. The caterers must clean their work area and remove all trash, all dishes, serving pieces, etc. Nothing food related may be left on the property. We will need contact information and a copy of current licenses and liability insurance 30 days in advance.


Ala carte!  Arrangements for any tables, chairs, linens, china, additional porta-potty etc. should be made through your event coordinator and/or caterer. We are happy to recommend local providers if you like.  Must make sure any loading and unloading does not take place from the street where this is a strict no parking law, that nothing is unloaded on to irrigation equipment or that trucks do not damage lawns, shrubs, structures, etc.

**Our property includes some casual outdoor furniture for your use, or can be removed as you wish.


Clients are welcome to shoot photos all day on day of event.  We can make arrangements for ahead-of-time photo shoots as well.  Many wedding parties, brides/grooms, families prefer to do formal photos in advance. Contact Owner for rates, date & time.  We sometimes offer to include this additional time on site as part of the package, whenever it is convenient!  We ask for a minimum of three professional photos to share on our website and Facebook from all weddings and events.
